Employment Services Programming Expanded and Enhanced!
While assisting WCS clients with pursuing work and volunteer opportunities to augment their recovery process has always been one of the services offered at Windhorse, the array of employment services now available has been greatly enhanced!
The Windhorse Employment Services Program recognizes employment as an essential aspect of well-being and an enrichment to one’s life. Our goal is to see individuals reach their highest employment potential.
Our program services focus on assisting individuals in seeking and retaining employment. Whether via private pay or with financial support from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, services will vary based on the goals set by the client.
Clients receive expert, customized assistance with identifying a career path, implementing a job search, obtaining placement with an employer, and receiving job training and counseling to promote job retention. Ongoing support will be provided.
Services Available
Vocational Assessment – We work with each client to evaluate his or her work behaviors, interpersonal skills, and job-related skill levels. The assessments take place in real life work settings.
Career Exploration, Vocational Counseling and Internships – Clients work with staff to complete vocational testing, interest surveys, journal exercises, informational interviews, analysis of job descriptions and participation in internships.
Job Seeking Activities – Clients receive training on how to conduct job searches, prepare resumes, complete applications, and interview effectively.
Job Development and Employer Relations – Our trained professionals connect with local employers to find appropriate work sites and maintain ongoing communications.
On-going Job Support and Job Coaching – We provide job skills training, job site orientation, and monitoring job site to assess employment stability.
